Eucalyptus was widely used in World War 1 to control infections and influenza.
Found in many of the doTERRA blends like Protective Blend, Skin Clearing Blend, Respiratory Blend and their Repellent Blend, this plant is steam distilled from the leaves and the essential oil provides properties that assist and support on many levels. It is found to be antiviral, antibacterial, expectorant, analgesic, insecticidal, hypotensive, disinfectant, and a catalyst.
Some of the top uses for this wonderful oil are as follows:
Ear aches – dilute and apply topically to outer ear and bone behind the ear or chest.
Congestion, cough, bronchitis and pneumonia – Dilute and apply topically to chest or use in a diffuser.
Asthma and Sinusitis – Put in palms of hands and inhale aromatically or applied alluded to the chest and feet.
Fever – Applied topically with peppermint down the spine to help lower fevers.
Shingles, malaria, cold and flu – Diffuse aromatically or apply topically to bottoms of feet or along the spine.
Muscle fatigue and pain – Dilute and gently massage topically over area to ease overused muscles.

For years I have believed in the support and balance that therapeutic grade essential oils can offer us it addressing ailments, aches and pains, and emotional support.

For some unknown reason, all my life I have always wanted to be older. When I was a teen, I couldn’t wait to be in my twenties. Then when I was in my twenties, I couldn’t wait until I was in my thirties. And all of the successful business women who surrounded me were in their 40’s or older. So certainly, when I reached their age, I would have attained whatever it was I saw in them that I wanted for myself, Right? (oh boy)
It is not that I didn’t have confidence, I was raised to be confident (perhaps to a fault), but I have been inspired by my elders, and it seemed with each age plateau, I realized experience and yet… What was next? Now that I’m in my 50’s, like some invisible switch I know longer look to be older. And although I am still very happy in my own skin, I know I didn’t appreciate my youth or my young body as much as I should have… oh well, I hope somebody did. (Sigh) Can you relate?
So here I am now, when I look in the mirror, I’m starting to look more like my daughter’s mother and not her sister! My four sisters and I lost our mother when she was only a few years older than I am today, so I never learned how to grow old gracefully. So I thought, because I don’t feel old at all, I might as well fight it. After all I worked hard to attain what I have now with any of the wisdom and knowledge I have gathered in all my years I should be able to accomplish this too.
A good and healthy diet, physical activity, and a healthy night’s sleep have always been a part of my daily routine. I have fair skin, so I have always moisturized or protected my exposure to suns damage consciously if not 100% effectively. When I was younger, yes occasionally I drank, perhaps a little too much, but I don’t anymore. And yes, I smoked and indulged in other pleasure vices (like too much sugar, ah honey honey), but I’m happily married now, so I don’t any more. – Which means I’m sleeping better than ever before, although my diet has changed and I have put on some weight. I would conclude that because I worked my ass off for so many years (trying to prove something to someone), with new commitment, I am able to work smarter not harder and get healthy and look and feel younger.

Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rind while lemon juice comes from the pulp, resulting in two very dissimilar substances with unrelated properties. Chemically, Lemon essential oil is very high in limonene, much more so than lemon juice. In particular, the high concentration of limonene is why Lemon essential oils is so cleansing and can aid in digestive and respiratory function when consumed.
Essential oils are also highly concentrated; even if the substances were identical in makeup, it would take a large amount of fresh lemon juice to match the potency of two drops of Lemon essential oil in water.
